Sorry for having been gone so long. I have spent the last two months working on and launching a new business. I have finally decided that I don’t work well with bosses! So, now I am my own boss (actually I am now, finally, totally surrendered to God in my business ventures)!

I kept coming across this crazy passage in Romans 12 that taught, right in the middle of a passage on living the Christian life, that we should be “not slothful in business.” As I considered this passage I was guilty and had to confess it and get things right with the Lord. In that time, he reminded me of my calling, both in ministry and business, and set my path clearly before me.

So, here I am again. At the beginning of what is proving to be an incredible journey. I want to chronicle this journey for you and share with you what I learn from it all. I have just begun and so there isn’t much to say today, however as God opens my eyes to new things I will get them out to you right away.

Keep watching (and praying, as I will do for you) and letting God control all the venues of your life. The greatest passage of scripture to come from this experience is Proverbs 3:5-10 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil, It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honor the Lord with thy substance and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

Business, like all of the believer’s life, is all up to God and when it finally hits us that this is so, we will do greater things than we could otherwise have ever done. To God be the glory!
